Bagot development work

In the early 1980's Hervey Bagot developed his own patterns for tuned bells and tuned sound plates (orchestra plates). In the photos below are shown examples of the first two (of four) tuned bells, and two sound plates. The sound plates are bronze castings machined down from 12 mm casting thickness to achieve correct musical notes.

Bagot bell B1 (mouth diameter 280 mm, musical note C exactly).	Bagot bell B2 (mouth diameter 335 mm, musical note G minus 15 cents*). *Cent = 1/100 semitone.	Sound plates with notes A exactly (228 x 328 x 6 mm) and C exactly (207 x 297 x 6 mm).
